Giving is the Greatest Gift

Happy Holidays and Seasons Greetings!

Just like that, we are barreling towards the close of 2021. A time to reflect on the year that's passed, and to gear up for the year ahead.

Yes, it's been a GREAT year in real estate. Here's a glimpse into how we are paying it forward to those less fortunate within our communities. We're also sharing thoughts on giving from some of our friends and clients.

We bring you this museletter with love - we've featured some of our (and our clients') favorite ways of giving, as inspiration for your year-end giving.  You can learn more about these charities via the links provided, and get in on the giving action! Truly there's no greater joy than the joy of giving, especially to those in need.

Wishing you MUCH JOY,
Mala+Team

Mala: I'm a board member of Bay Street Theater, which is a year-round professional theater and community cultural center, based in Sag Harbor. Jeff and I also recently supported the Sag Harbor Community Food Pantry by purchasing illustrious American Hotel bartender Vinnie Rom's 1 Millionth Cocktail. The SHCFP  distributes food and essential items to those in need.

Kevin Sharkey (EVP Design, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia): I'm donating the bulk of my estate to Smile Train when I pass. The work that they do is unimaginably impactful, and transforms the lives of children around the world.

Lisa Field (Owner, Sag Harbor 5 & 10 Variety Store):
I love Cormaria Retreat House right here in Sag Harbor. It offers hospitality to people of all faiths for spiritual and personal growth.

Chelsea: Two charities near and dear to my heart are Lucia's Angels and Hamptons Community OutreachLucia was a dear family friend, and the charity was founded in her memory, to help women and families on the East End deal with late-stage cancers and treatment. HCO delivers meals, groceries, and fresh produce to those with food insecurity issues.

Sam McLeland (Executive Chef & Co-Owner, The Beacon and The Bell & Anchor): I will always support Sag Harbor Community Food PantrySlow Food East End and Peconic Land Trust.

TinaI love ARF! Animals need help too! ARF actively rescues cats and dogs, provides quality care and offers sanctuary until loving homes can be found.

Bladimiar Norman (Head of Marketing, Wondery): I have committed myself to New Alternatives NYC over the last decade. They help homeless LGBTQI+ youth transition out of the shelter system into stable adult lives.

Kyle: I support the Partnership to End Addiction. They're on a mission to transform how our nation addresses addiction.

MaxwellRainbow Railroad is an incredible organization that helps LGBTQI+ people escape violence and persecution around the world.
